On June 25, 2015, Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA) and The International Center for Research Agroforestry (ICRAF) signed an Memorandum of Understanding.
ICRAF is a leading international science based research and development institution in the tropics. The center responds to livelihood and environmental challenges through tree based systems in agricultural landscapes.
As ICRAF and BISA have common vision of a sustainable future and complementary missions, they wish to initiate effective cooperative relationships that will have positive impacts on small holder farmers, and recognize the value of strengthened institutional and program collaboration in this area and work towards achieving common goals of addressing poverty hunger, malnutrition, ecosystem management and climate change through testing and promotion of cop based agroforestry systems in South Asia.
